Privredna komora Srbije u Briselu , Ambasada Srbije u Belgiji i kulturna organizacija „Mikser“
sa ponosom najavljuju projekat: „SERBIA IN REDESIGN: MIKSER & GUESTS“ - predstavljanje Mikser festivala i potencijala srpske kreativne industrije u Press klubu Brisel Evropa, u Briselu, od 28. januara do 1. februara.
Nesvakidašnju priliku da u srcu Evropske unije predstavi svoje dosadašnje rezultate u razvoju srpske kreativne industrije, organizacija Mikser dobila je zahvaljujući pozivu Privredne komore Srbije – Predstavništva u Briselu nakon uspešnog Mikserovog nastupa u Srpskom kulturnom centru u Parizu u septrembru 2012.
„Želja nam je da briselskoj publici predstavimo Mikser festival, koji je poslednje četri godine, od svog nastanka, stekao ugled veoma uspešnog festivala dizajna i kreativnih potencijala zemalja ex-Jugoslavije, pa i čitavog Balkana“, kaže Gordana Zrnić, direktorka predstavništva Privredne komore Srbije u Briselu, i inicijator projekta „Serbia in Redesign: Mikser & Guests“ (Srbija u procesu redizajniranja: Mikser & gosti“). „Cilj projekta je da u godini u kojoj očekujemo otvaranje pregovora Srbije sa EU, evropskoj javnosti predstavimo autentični kreativni potencijal Srbije i vrednosti koje ona ima i može da ponudi Evropi“, dodaje Zrnić koja je među prvima prepoznala stratešku ulogu nacionalnih kreativnih industrija u ekonomskom pozicioniranju novih članica EU, kao i značaj inovativnih projekata za razvoj čitavog regiona.
Osim aktivnosti Mikser festivala, tokom događaja u Briselu biće predstavljena i Savamala, veoma značajan kvart za istoriju savremenog Beograda koji je danas, uprkos ekskluzivnom izlasku centra grada na reku, vidno zanemaren, ugrožen teškim teretnim saobraćajem, a njegova vredna arhitektonska zdanja devastirana nebrigom. „Organizacija Mikser je, izborom Savamale za mesto održavanja festivala i adresu svog novog kreativnog centra „Mikser House“, revitalizaciju ovog dela Beograda stavila u fokus srpske i međunarodne javnosti. Iz tog razloga očekujemo da bi ovaj događaj mogao da zainteresuje i evropske investitore“, objašnjava Zrnić.
Pored Mikserovog osnovnog programa - izložbe “Mladi dizajneri Balkana” (“Young Balkan Designers”) i „Savamala – Kreativna četvrt“ (Savamala – Creative District“), kao i niza predavanja i prezentacija sa akcentom na kreativnost i nove stvaralačke glasove Srbije, u Briselu će tokom pet dana gostovanja biti predstavljeni i turistički potencijali Srbije, kao i jedan broj srpskih kompanija koje su osvojile značajna evropska priznanja u oblasti inovacija.
Svečano otvaranje događaja biće održano 28. januara 2013, u Press Club Brussels Europe, Rue Froissart 95, 1040 Brussels, od 18-22h, u prisustvu Jelka Kacina, člana EP i izvestioca za Srbiju, i gospođe Vesne Arsić, ambasadora Srbije u Kraljevini Belgije. Renomirani belgijski konceptualni umetnici Laurent D’Ursel i Xavier Lowenthal će uveličati otvaranje specijalnim performansom kojim će posetioce voditi kroz izložbene eksponate. Gost muzičar iz Beograda je kantautorka Jelena Petošević, dok će i sam koktel otvaranja belgijskoj publici predstaviti inovacije na srpskoj gastronomskoj sceni.

“YOUNG BALKAN DESIGNERS”

The Young Balkan Designers competition represents Mikser’s true mobilizing power of new generations of designers in the Balkans, offering to manufacturers a unique dynamic database of creative resources. Exhibition features retrospective of works by 19 laureates of the YBD competitions from 2009-2012 coming from all parts of former Yugoslavia.

With 100.000 visitors and 2500 exhibitors in 2012 Mikser Festival established itself as the largest regional exchange platform for latest achievements in design and technology. Activities around Mikser Festival are enhancing development of creative economy in the region by providing “the place” for exposure of latest innovative commercial products by SMEs, as well as an extensive talent platform featuring the most gifted young designers in the region.

Guided tour through the exhibition: Belgian artists Laurent d’Ursel and Xavier Löwenthal

Laurent D'Ursel is controversial and one of the best known conceptual artists in Belgium. Xavier Löwenthal is a Belgian illustrator, comic theorist, writer, producer and founder of the experimental publishing house “La 5e Couche/5c”. They are both familiar with the ex-Yugoslav, specially Serbian culture and closely collaborate with the post-yugoslav Kolektiv Eimigrative art, formed by Belgrade artist and activist Ivana Momčilović, Mikser’s longtime friend. Tree of them are members of Belgium artistic collective Manifestement focused on counter sense of all type of stereotypes, prejudices, consensual, fixed and ma joritarian ideas.

Jelena Petoševic, a young women with the guitar, is a multidisciplinary artist born in Serbia and educated in Brussels and London. Jelena made a real breakthrough into the Serbian music scene with several youtube hits, which earned her a title of a regional music miracle. Non-conventionality of her lyrics, reversing of roles and taboos, and beautiful sensuality of her voice and music fused with jazz-soul tones, makes her a real new-born polyphonic voice of "Redesigning Serbia".

After six years of continuous efforts in discovering and nurturing fresh design talents through its initiatives Ghost Project and Young Balkan Designers, organization Mikser is announcing an important leap forward in support of innovative ideas - the launch of its own production enterprise Mikser Design Label, dedicated to putting products by young local designers into serial production.

Choosing Savamala as the address of its new creative center ,“Mikser” has put the revitalization of this part of Belgrade in the focus not only of the Serbian, but of the international public as well. Mikser House is a multifunctional concept space for educational, cultural, entertaining and commercial activities, located in Savamala, in an inspiring converted industrial facility. Mikser’s new home in Savamala opens its door to public in March 2013.
