The extraordinary edition of Mikser Festival 2025, titled \u201cThe Energy of Freedom,\u201d will take place on May 31 and June 1 at Dor\u0107ol Platz and the Miljenko Dereta venue, as a powerful response to social challenges and turning points that demand action. This year, the festival lasts an intense 48 hours and becomes a free territory for thinkers, artists, activists, and creatives who refuse to remain silent and who, through their actions, strive to change reality for the better.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At the heart of the festival is the debate program Mikser Talks, a platform that brings together the voices of the present\u2014those who do not accept injustice and passivity. Through a series of provocative discussions and dynamic encounters, participants will confront issues that shape social reality\u2014from politics and culture, to identity, resistance, and the future. Alongside inspiring dialogues, the festival brings an energetic musical selection of artists whose work carries a strong social message. Choral groups formed during student protests will bring the energy of resistance to the festival stage. Together with the hosts of the festival\u2019s second evening\u2014the orchestra, choir, and ethno group of students from the Faculty of Music in blockade\u2014Mar\u010delo, Konstrakta, Marko Louis, and Davide Borri will deliver the sounds of change and songs that have become symbols of the fight for a more just society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mikser Festival does not stop at words and music. Through Next Gen Design, young designers from across Europe will present innovations that connect creativity and sustainability, while the Green Zone and Good Energy Places, in cooperation with GIZ, will offer concrete proposals for ecological transition. Workshops such as \u201cThe Future of Food,\u201d \u201cTowards Sustainable Architecture,\u201d and \u201cHow to Counter the Media Machine\u201d will bridge theory and practice, providing participants with concrete tools to improve quality of life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the Art Zone, art takes on responsibility, exploring how visual expression, poetry, and performance can become tools of resistance. \u201cPoetry of Change\u201d brings the voices of young people who have emerged in the past seven months of social turbulence, while the exhibition \u201cTraces of Rebellion: In the Footsteps of Student Resistance\u201d documents the strength of student protests through photographs and video recordings. Meanwhile, #artofsolidarity proves that creative acts can be acts of support and social mobilization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
