A Guide to Gender-Sensitive Public Spaces is implemented in cooperation with the Women’s Architectural Society and the UN Women office in Serbia, as part of the initiative “Cities for Citizens! – Gender-sensitive urban planning and design in Serbia”, under the framework of the three-year project “Key steps towards gender equality in Serbia” financed by the European Commission within the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance II, as support to the Government of the Republic of Serbia in the effective implementation of the EU Acquis on gender equality and the national law and strategy on gender equality. The goal of the initiative is to strengthen integrated and participatory approaches to sustainable gender-responsive urban development by enabling and supporting cooperation and capacity building of urban actors, innovative actions, knowledge, policy development and communication in this area.
