Mikser Organization, Independent Theater Hungary and Basca Theater proudly present you the results of our open call. For the production of a theater play or performance we had a 56 applicants, from over the 10 countries, with different concepts and plans – from forum theater, interactive forms to more traditional approaches.
The aim of the project is the production of sustainable performances that can all fit in one car, including scenography and costumes. The materials used for the scenery and costumes will be environmentally friendly and economical, the cast will be limited to only two actors who’ll play multiple characters, and the plays will reflect on social inequalities, environmental issues and topics related to rural communities.
Considering all the points mentioned above, we have a list of artist’s names that we invite to take part in the workshop in Budapest:
- Henrik Nagy, Ramóna Farkas, Nóra Nemcsók, Hungary
- Jacqueline Kohl, Andrei Ursu and Viktoriia Medviedieva, Romania
- Jana Dekanski, Andrijana Dragnić, Anđelka Nikolić, Serbia
- Simon Budzyk, Karolina Fortuna, Poland
- Irena Antin, Vladimir Beljić and Konstantinos Petrović, Serbia
- Toni Karabashev, Igor Damjanov, Ivan Todorov, Bulgaria
Their ideas and different approaches stood out for us, and we hope that the workshop will be a great opportunity for them to learn new skills, as well as to connect with other artists for future projects. Theater in One car is co-financed by the European Union, in the Creative Europe Program.
