Liceulice Week 2024 begins on September 16 and will be marked by solidarity street actions with sellers in the company of friends – celebrities, journalists and companies – on the streets of Belgrade and Novi Sad.
This Monday, at 4 p.m. in Knez Mihailova Street, Liceulice Week will begin, with a street action by vendors with journalist Maja Dragić and journalists Dragan Ilić and Zoran Kesić. Friends of the sellers of Liceulice will wear orange-blue vests and sell the magazine, under the mentorship of experienced sellers.
Cooperation with friends from companies that support Liceulice will be marked by a street action on Wednesday, September 18, at 4 p.m., on the central city streets. Dynamic and energetic teams from NCR Voyix, Adecco Srbija, Bosch Srbija, Clarivate, Astra Zeneca and CETIN will team up with vendors to sell magazines and spread the word about the importance of supporting fellow citizens from the margins.
A large joint street action of salesmen, saleswomen, editors, colleagues, friends and collaborators who contribute daily to Liceulice’s story surviving for 14 years is scheduled for Saturday, September 21 at 3:30 p.m. The group will start from the fountain in Knez Mihailova street in Belgrade near the Cervantes Institute and will move towards Knez Mihailova, towards Makedonska and the Zaokret cafe at Cetinjska 15, where from 5 p.m. the socializing will continue, and the latest Liceulica model will be presented, T-shirts signed by vendors and a great illustrator Anka Arsenić.
These actions draw attention to street newspaper sellers in blue-orange vests, as well as to their effort, struggle and not giving up in these extremely insecure and uncertain times.
That is why we invite you to join the fight for a better society in which there is room for everyone, for a chance for dignified work and income for as many people from the margins as possible.
