The 15th anniversary edition of Mikser Festival will take place from June 5 to 7, 2026, in Novi Pazar, under the slogan “New World.”
In a city where Eastern and Western influences have intertwined for centuries, Mikser Festival opens a space for “weaving a shared future” — bringing together the local creative scene with innovators from the region and around the world, while actively engaging young people from Novi Pazar and across the country in shaping a vision of a sustainable and open society.
Following two remarkable student protests, the city has been reintegrated into the country’s cultural landscape — one of the most valuable developments of the past year for a society that has long suffered from a lack of positive news. The arrival of Mikser Festival in Novi Pazar builds on this wave of social awakening, creating space for dialogue, exchange, and connection with partners from the region, Europe, and beyond.
The festival will unfold across multiple locations connecting the historic city center, the industrial zone, and the banks of the Raška River, transforming the entire city into a unique open cultural platform. The program spans a wide range of formats — from Mikser Talks gathering local and international experts in architecture, design, ecology, and culture, to participatory Urban Lab workshops and a hackathon focused on digital solutions to local challenges, as well as the “Made in Novi Pazar” project linking young designers with the local textile and furniture industries.
A special highlight is the Design Zone, featuring the international platform Next Gen Design, which — through the Creative Europe program — brings representatives of leading European design festivals and 50 of the most innovative young designers from across Europe to Novi Pazar. Some of them will also take part in residency programs collaborating with local manufacturers. The Art Zone presents contemporary installations, exhibitions, and several premiere theater productions addressing themes of identity, community, and contemporary social challenges. At the heart of the program promoting the rich cultural heritage of Sandžak and Novi Pazar is a collaboration with Europa Nostra, highlighting the role of women in the region’s cultural development.
In the coming days, the creative community can expect a series of open calls for participation — from volunteer engagement in festival production, to the signature “Black Box” platform for young artists, the themed graphic design competition “New World,” and calls for designers and small producers to join the “Novi Bazar” design market in the heart of the city.
This year’s music program offers a powerful and authentic cross-section of the regional scene, blending genres and generations into the shared sound of the “New World.” The main stage will feature some of the region’s most prominent acts, including Partibrejkers, Letu Štuke, Jarboli, Gospođo Bate, Marčelo & Band, Helem Nejse, Marko Luis Band, and Amira Medunjanin, while the popular “Jugoslovenka” party will further enrich the festival atmosphere as a tribute to a shared cultural heritage.
Tickets for the music program will be available starting April 25 through the GIGSTIX sales network, online platform, and at a physical location in Novi Pazar.
To date, Mikser has organized 15 festival editions, bringing together more than 12,000 authors from 67 countries and attracting over 850,000 visitors, confirming its status as one of the most important platforms for promoting creativity, innovation, and social dialogue in the region.
The anniversary edition in Novi Pazar represents a natural and powerful continuation of this mission — an invitation to build a more open, sustainable, and inclusive society.
Welcome to Novi Pazar – New World.
