The five-day program in Budapest brought together teams from Poland, Serbia, Bulgaria, Romania and Hungary on the premises of the Independent Theater Hungary to present their ideas for performances, but also to acquire some new skills that will be useful in the further process of preparing their productions.
The workshop on creating a performance in which two actors interpret multiple characters was led by Gabor Jaszberenyi, actor and theater artist, focusing on changing characters on stage with movements, costumes and way of speaking , but also giving them some practical advice that will be useful for their own performances.
Anđelka Nikolić, pozorišna rediteljka i doktorantkinja iz oblasti scenskog dizajna, predstavila je različite primere održivih produkcija, kao i performanse koje koriste minimalno kostima i scenografije. Nakon toga svaka grupa je imala priliku da iznese svoju ideju u vezi sa stvaranjem prostora koji će im biti scena za performanse.
On ways to approach the audience and activities after the performance, Ana Maria Ursu, actress and director from the Basca Theater in Romania, held multiple workshops. Through these, participants had the opportunity to explore Forum Theater, as one of the forms of theater, but also as an activity that engages the audience.
Marton Illes, one of the representatives of the Independent Theater Hungary, led a discussion on non-stereotypical representation of people from rural communities and marginalized groups, during which all present had the opportunity to seek their views, but also to analyze the examples that were presented.
